Overview
Our Enterprise Analytics Platform (EAP) group, within Deutsche Bank's GTI, is working with cutting-edge technology to transform the way we work. We are at an exciting time; expanding our core data enabling capabilities to unleash the value of the Company's data assets to gain competitive advantage in the marketplace and advancing our journey to Cloud (GCP) as well as improving on-prem platform to have similar tech stack as cloud.
EAP provides a stable and secure big data platform and tools across the enterprise, this role is part of the GTI Hybrid Cloud function.
Our goal is to build & offer simple self-service shared platforms for clients to consume and in turn run their own Business applications on. We'll use a combination of vendor supported Enterprise Hadoop technologies coupled with Cloud native services and use automation for efficiency and accuracy and Our highest priority is to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software and technology.

• Responsible for building data solutions in collaboration with architects, product managers and other key programme stakeholders
• Responsible for build, configure, and manage software on Cloud and/or on-prem using Hadoop ecosystem
• Responsible to build, tune and perform operational efficiency (low cost/high automation) on production grade systems
• Support the adoption of an agile way of working: Work with agile coaches/leads to deliver in scaled scrum approach. Actively contribute and deliver on features, stories, tasks and ceremonies
• Implement security, encryption best practices for Big Data environments. Assist architects in the design and implementation of high performance systems with large volume data integration processes, database, storage and provisioning How you'll lead
• Demonstrate leadership in term of technical, process and people issues, to make sure we are doing the right thing. Work with the wider community of engineers to increase standards & discipline
• Provide thought leadership and drive architecture and the design of Big Data Information Management & Analytics solutions for On-prem and Cloud
• Ensure effective design and development of system architectures through embedded Enterprise Architects; employing effective governance methods for transparency and communication Skills You'll Need
• Design and implement scalable Big Data architecture solutions for various application needs. Strong experience and commitment to deliver in Agile process highlighting change while accelerating delivery
• Ability to analyze multiple sources of structured and unstructured data to propose and design data architecture solutions for scalability, high availability, fault tolerance, and elasticity
• Set architectural vision and direction across a matrix of teams. Develop conceptual, logical and physical design for various data types and large volumes
• Implement Big Data systems in alignment with enterprise architecture and infrastructure guidelines and standards
• Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) on Hadoop engines such as Hive, Impala, Spark SQL. Knowledge of OOP languages like Java, C++, and Python. Understanding of database theories, structures, categories, properties, and best practices Skills to Help you Excel
• Good stakeholder management and communication, with the ability to translate customer and product requirements into stable, sustainable and reusable solutions, Ability to identify inefficiencies, duplication and look at ways and means for simplification, Excellent communication and problem solving skills with team culture
• Good to have - Demonstrable expertise in Data (or BigData) Engineering
• Design, build, operationalize, secure, and monitor data processing systems with a particular emphasis on security and compliance
• Developing data pipelines using Cloud native data technologies (Storage accounts/ CloudSQL/ BigTable/ BigQuery/ Dataflow/ Dataproc etc)
• Deep knowledge of RDBMS as well as various NoSQL technologies Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary, NC office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $125,000.00 to $203,000.00. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
